UIA2026BCN - The largest global gathering dedicated to architecture

From June 28 to July 2, 2026, Barcelona will host the UIA World Congress of Architects, bringing together thousands of professionals, students, and institutions from more than 130 countries.

Under the theme “Becoming. Architectures for a planet in transition” more than 250 speakers from around the world will share research, debates and projects across six thematic areas: ecology, climate change and landscape; rehabilitation, life cycles and energy; materials, fabrication and technologies; housing, city and inclusive policies; data, geopolitics and legislation; poetics, beauty and context.

The event will take place across three main seafront venues disseminated around the city and the metropolitan area: the Three Chimneys of Sant Adrià del Besòs, the Barcelona International Convention Center (CCIB), and the DHub Disseny Hub Barcelona. The Congress will also offer more than 100 collateral events and metropolitan, territorial, and maritime itineraries.
